I am curious to learn more about the new Internal DNS Resolver.

Maybe a quick overview of what it does, how it helps speed up browsing, does it stack up against XPs own DNS Client, etc.

Anything would be great!

The internal DNS resolver contacts the DNS server directly, instead of using the usual Windows DNS resolution mechanisms. This means the internal resolver, ignores the hosts file, the DNS Client service, etc.

The internal DNS resolver also returns all the IPs that are associated to the host name (it may also return nameservers).
