I love this program. Using HostMan and the Server got rid of 99% of the
spyware getting through on long internet browsing sessions. Could
you consider adding a file sorter and duplicate remover to HostsMan ?
Thanks,
Scott

Welcome scott.
Its best to not post your email address in your signature as spammers and scammers will harvest your email address to send you all maner of enlargement and mortgage offers shortly

There are other good applications available on the Internet to do this like CCleaner and Glary Utilities.

Thx. Fixed the signtature issue.
I have another sort program, but I like "one-stop shopping" in a utility.

I found a free utility, HostEdit, by Craig Longford.
It lacks a good search fuction, but has a "one-touch" button that opens the host
file and performs a complete sort (either direction), comment stripping, and
duplicates removal in one opertion. I couldn't get Ccleaner to recognize the
winapi2.ini provided here, so I found my one-step cleanup utillity for use after a host file update and merge.
Cheers,
Scott

The winapp2.ini here needs to be updated but the one available from TwistedMetal in its forum works:

The Find Duplicates... works that is under Hosts drop down fine for me.
When I update or import the HOSTS files I have the Delete duplicate check box selected and that removes the duplicate entries for me.

You're correct on the duplicate screening function. I forgot.
So now I'm down to ONE wish for Christmas: A built-in sorter.
Thx for the lead on winapp2.

If you open HostsMan Editor (3rd button or menu "Tools" > "HostsMan Editor"), just click on the header of the column you wish to sort (click again to invert the sort) and then save the changes.
